Jun 6, 2006 Updated: Jun 8, 2006Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, my bottle. Hazy orange, decent lasting white head. Fairly funky hop aroma, citrusy and grainy - ehh. Very funky-bitter, not much malt, long bitter finish, a little unbalanced. Slightly watery, very astringent, nicely carbonated - decent, not great.

May 26, 2006 12oz. bottle. Hazy golden orange with a small white head. Spicy, vegetal hop aromatics with some fruity tinges. Mildy citric metallic hop flavors, undertone of soapy malt and a biscuit character. Some residual hop astringency in the finish, with muted malt vestiges. Mouthfeel is medium light, fairly dry.

May 25, 2006 On tap. pours a golden brown color with a white fluffy head. Taste is of hops and citrus. The hop flavor is not very well balanced , but it is not overpowering.

May 22, 2006 on tap-pours a creamy offwhite head that laces with gold-copper color. Aroma is medium hops. Taste is medium hops with a good bite, citrus. Good carbonation.

May 10, 2006 Bottled. Via trade with Doclock. Rich, copper color with an off-white head. Somewhat hoppy aroma but seems a bit stingy on hops from the get-go. Malty flavor with a somewhat vegetal quality. Good bitterness but hardly any hop aromas. Rather dry finish.

May 2, 2006 12oz bottle received in a trade today with Doclock - Thanks Jeff! Pours golden with a large offwhite head that stays well and laces the sides of the glass in sudsy layers. Aroma of citrus lemon and grapefruit over light grains and doughy malt. Flavor begins with a sharp blast of c-hops that then gives way to some pale malt flavor then back for a light bitter dry citrus finish. Body was rather light for an IPA but it was refreshing and carbonated well. Not bad.

Apr 10, 2006 On tap, Taming of the Brew 2006. Poured a clear dark gold with a creamy fine bubbled off-white head. Aroma is bright citric hops over a biscuity malt base. Flavor was very bitter up front with a rather mild lightly malty base. Some grapefruity citrus. Long lingering bitter finish. Mouthfeel is fairly thin and light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Overall, I found this one to be a little harsh in it’s bitterness, needs some more malt to balance things out better.
