Bottle shared with tupalev, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear amber with a small diminishing off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and brown sugar. Somewhat watery flavour of caramel malt, brown sugar and a hint of smoke. Average bodied. Pretty decent beer, especially for Appalachian, but not great.

Easily the best of the bunch from the mix pack my in-laws picked up for me. Nice dark brown, ruby hints, small off white head. Simple but pleasing malty aroma. Taste also features lots of sweet malt with a hint of earthiness. Nice bitter linger. Not too bad at all.

Thanks for the freebie Larry! The beer pours to a transparent mahogany body with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet powdered sugar, light pale malt, sweet brown sugar. The flavor is much the same as the aroma. Moderately sweet palate. An average beer.

Clear brown body, not much head. Smoky yeast and malty chocolate malt aroma. The flavor takes on more of a toasted character to go along with the buttery chocolate malts. Decent stuff but not compelling.

reddish hugh w/ a whispy tan head. smells like a light red... some decent carmels and hints of lightly peated smoke. light pal. Flavor is a traditional scotch ale.. touches of smoke lots of carmels... pretty blah though.

Clear brownish rust color body. Thin creamy light-tan head. Sweet chocolatey malt aroma. Sweet oddly smoked malt with some brown ale style malts. Kind of plain flavor. A little bit of fruit.

Hazy garnet brown body, very low white head(after about fifteen seconds). Nice lightly smoked malt aroma, flavour is awfully smoky with some hops(which don’t go terribly well together) and caramel. Not my pint of beer here.

Slightly hazy deep amber body with a very small rapidly diminishing tan head. Sweet caramel aroma. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some light hoppy hints.
