Pours a dark purple brown with foamy tan head. Aroma is of brown sugar, dark fruits, and pine. Flavor dominated by sweet caramel malts, maple syrup, dark cherries, piney woodiness and a slight rummy undertone. Overall, very enjoyable lighter scottish.

Bottle from thickfreakness. Thanks Charles! Power rate #3 poured into my Foothills tasting glass. Pours a dark orange amber color with a medium to short lived beige head. Smell is malty, sweet with caramel and the typical scottish ale smell. Taste leans malty but isn’t overly sweet. Caramel, and subtle peatiness, but watery as well. Medium body and normal carbonation. Not particularly great, or my favorite style, but watery enough that I could drink this.

Bottle from Nashville. Nice run-of-the-mill scottish ale. Nice sweet caramel malt backbone with just a touch of hops. Easy to drink.

12 oz. bottle. Murky, reddish-brown color. Thin, bubbly white head. Caramel aroma with some oaky notes. Also a hint of vegetables. Nutty flavor that merges well with sweet malt character. Some spices and a bit of smokiness. Dry, meaty finish.
