Ubiquitous appearance, pale yellow clear beer. Decent creamy fizz for carbonation. Hay and grassy background. An enjoyable brew, friendly. Could make a nice session! | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 30, 2008 A drinkable helles which is saying a lot for me. Aroma was corn and light malt. Pour was a bubbly medium gold with a nice one finger white heda. Taste was nice for a helles. A distinct light malt in the front with a very weak but detectable hoppiness in the aftertaste. Don’t care for the style, but not bad for what it is. TheCaptain (559), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Lager on tap at ABC. Pours caramel gold clear, thin white head. Not much of an aroma for me. Doughy feel, thin hops, good taste on the pallet. Light grain hopi after but pretty mellow. TomDecapolis (3197), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 21, 2007 I’m not a fan of the the style as done here. Appalachian seems to have a good handle on their own flavors though and their commercial descriptions can be depended on to be accurate. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Bottle poured in a pint glass. Little to no white head. Almost flat. Very little aroma. Bit of a sour smell. Biscuit like flavor, with sweet finish. No hops at all. Not a fan. Not sure I really want to finish it.
