appearance - clear yellow gold hue w/ orange tinge head is rather firm for a lager, but lacking in size for the median brew. aroma - lively for a lager. forest grasses, wild fresh grain, slight minerals, but in a good way. noticed hops, but minimal. flavor - slightly bitter mid-palate. minerals shine through here. mild spice flavor, but indiscernable. smooth going down. high for a lager, but there’s a reason. palate - smooth, noticably bitter finish. easy drinker, as there isn’t a dominant flavor or heavy aspect to the beer. dryer fruit is present, but there’s nothing too admirable. nonetheless, i could see myself knocking back a few, if they were a bit more moderately priced. 10/6pk is hard for a lager. moreover...it’s a lager, an everyday after-work deal. i could see a poker night out of this one though.

Bottle. Poured quick and, well, lagery, with a orange-golden color and barely any head at all. The aroma is off, like dirty dishes even. On the flavor, this is thickly malty, very bready and biscuity and moderately rich. The hop bitterness at the end is barely discernable, just a mere whisper of light fruitiness. (#3013, 7/10/2007)

Gettysburg. Clear yellow. Sweaty corn and grain nose, with some sweet lemon scent as well. Flavor is crisp and sticky, syrupy almost... tastes of corn and light grain. OK overall. Quite good on a summer day but RB-wise it’s subpar.

Initial sense of crisp light hops with some citrus and grapefruit thrown in. But the welcome is a bit short lived as this one grew on me fast and became a bit bland even though I appreciate the palatte and creamy texture. If only all lagers felt that way and were as inoffensive. There is a somewhat banana-like spicy hop aroma here which can be found in the flavor but to a lesser degree.

[304-20070509] 12floz (c/o tupalev, w/ him, blankboy, jerc). Some wheat aroma. Clear, golden yellow body with small central bubbles and a quick white head. Light piney resin flavour with some wheat. Light-medium body. Bland, nothing to it but not offensive.

12 oz bottle-poured a clear golden yellow color w/a moderate white foamy head. Light floral hop aroma. Very basic Lager, grainy, sweet flavor of corn & bread dough. Light, crisp clean, easy to drink. Kind of bland. Not bad, but nothing special. You can drink it, definite sesson brew. Thin mouthfeel w/a decent finish of bread dough. Mild carbination.

Bottle. Pale yellow, small white head. Grainy cereally aroma with a light white wine note. Dilute, rough grainy bitterness in the flavour. Average palate. Did not finish.

Bottle shared with tupalev, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma’s grainy and sweet, maybe a touch sour. Watery flavour of grain, light hops and some caramel malt -- it’s quite flavourless. Light bodied. Pretty bland stuff.
