Commercial Description:
The Dortmunder-Export style of beer was developed in Westfalen, Germany, and is a classic light lager with great character. This style boasts a light golden blonde color and exhibits a moderate hop palate. The finish of our Mountain Lager is rich yet mellow.

Draft at Camp Hill. Pours a pale translucent gold. Initial flavor is sweet and grainy, like a cereal. A very very soft touch of hops on the finish which gives it some grassy pils like flavor. Obviously brewed for the BMC crowd.

Draft at the Gettysburg location, July 2006. A slightly hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of spices - ginger is sticking out. The flavor is sweet - rather sweet - with notes of malt and fruit - especially peaches, as well as light notes of spices.

12 oz bottle via Frumpty (thanks!). Pours a golden blonde with a small head that has no staying power. Typical lager aroma with somebread, grass & yeast smell as well. Starts sweet, then sweet in the middle, a touch of sourness and some acidity in the finish. Then some sweetness in the aftertaste. Did i say this was a pretty sweet beer, lol? Not cloyng, but no hops to be found. Thin body but not watery. A pretty good lager. Not my style, but good for what it is. I think this would go very good with about any meal.

On tap at Gettysburg location, July 2006. Mid gold colour. Soft, grainy malt in the aroma and on the palate. Smooth, with just a touch of late hop. Rather too sweet for me and a bit too mellow.
