Commercial Description:
The Dortmunder-Export style of beer was developed in Westfalen, Germany, and is a classic light lager with great character. This style boasts a light golden blonde color and exhibits a moderate hop palate. The finish of our Mountain Lager is rich yet mellow.

Draft at the Gettysburg location, July 2006. A slightly hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of spices - ginger is sticking out. The flavor is sweet - rather sweet - with notes of malt and fruit - especially peaches, as well as light notes of spices.

On tap at the Lehigh Valley Brew Fest ’04. Poured a light, see through yellow with a small white head. Light flavor and aromas of nothing special...

Crystal clear, straw-colored beer. The white head is small, creamy and fully lasting head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is lightly malty, citrusy and lightly floral. A little white pepper thrown in the nose as well. The flavor is lightly to moderately malty up front with a hint of lemon and grapefruit. Balanced out even more nicely on the backside with lightly bitter hops and a short burst of light, malty butterscotch or toffee. Light to medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crips, lightly pungent and dry finish. Not really my style, but a fine beer nonetheless.

Bottle courtesy of kramer17801. Pours gold with no head and very little carbonation. Smells sugary with some orange and grape elements poking through. Tastes a bit tarte and salty with some citrus and underlying sourness. Finishes light and peppery.

Gettysburg. Clear yellow. Sweaty corn and grain nose, with some sweet lemon scent as well. Flavor is crisp and sticky, syrupy almost... tastes of corn and light grain. OK overall. Quite good on a summer day but RB-wise it’s subpar.

On tap at Gettysburg location, July 2006. Mid gold colour. Soft, grainy malt in the aroma and on the palate. Smooth, with just a touch of late hop. Rather too sweet for me and a bit too mellow.
