Oh well, Belgians are not my forte. Pours golden amber with a white head. Aroma of lemon, wheat malt, and belgian esters. Typical belgian mouthfeel and texture. Flavor of pale wheat malt, honey, and spice. There is a decent amount of sweetness, but not overly sweet or sticky. Moderate bitterness on the finish, joined by some yeasty flavors and a hint of alcohol. I thought this was a respectable attempt at a Belgian. This reminds me of a golden triple, but with less alcohol and bite. Ungstrup (15302), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The aroma is sweet yeasty with strong notes of fruit. The flavor is very sweet and very fruity, with light notes of yeast mixing in as well as wood, leading to a dry end with the woody notes lingering around. The body is thick. Flavor is malty and funky, and cheesey. Interesting if nothing more. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England

After developing a theme of subtlety in the previous few beers in the sampler, we returned to an earlier theme - namely sweetness - with this one. Too much sweetness for me. Other might see it differently. Hazy orange colour. Heavily spiced, Belgian tripel style with bags of Curacao and orange peel in evidence. This added a touch of sharp bitterness but, all in all, the overriding sweetness detracted from my enjoyment. So, overall, a slight disappointment.

Pours a cloudy, deep orange body under a small off-white creamy head. Aroma is full of fruity esters, some banana, yeast, belgian spices. Not too far off from their Hefe, but with more of a malty base. Flavor is very sweet with tons of fruitiness, some clove, and maybe grains of paradise? Finish is sticky and has lots of lingering sweetness with a touch of red delicious apples. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and chewy with a cloying stickiness. Overall, pretty decent, but way too sweet for my tastes. Rastacouere (5559), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Slight tartness hit up the nose and contrasts the biscuity maltiness, fairly toasty. Nice orange flavors, tropical juice and flowery southern flavors. gentle yeasty presence. Soft carbonation, light bodied, not very dry. Good.
