Appalachian Peche

Draft at the Harrisburg brewery. Moderately cloudy orange and gold color with a splotchy white head. Nose is really terrible, actually, with a coarse, soggy grain and corn scent, an oppressively sour (bad sour) peach rind note, and a bit of a gummy vegetable off-aroma that doesn’t sit well. Flavor is more soggy corn and grains, with what I assume is the peach character coming off more as a stewed squash and moldy fruit flavor. It’s fluffy and light on the palate, at least, so that’s nice, but I really think this didn’t turn out as intended. Not sweet, and not lambic-sour, it tastes a little bit of a mess, actually.
