savnac (394), Palmer, Alaska, USA Oct 21, 2009 On tap @ ABC Harrisburg. Clear amber with an off white head. Mellow earthy hop aroma with some caramel scents. Sweet flavor with a bit of bitterness. More malt inclined beer and the hops didn’t seam like typical American hops. Not bad but tasted and smelled more like an English style. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 4, 2009 Hazy orange, thick white head, lacing. Aroma of oranges, toffee and malt in general. Kind of an English Pale palate and nose. The palate was caramel, a bit of hops and dryness. Not bad, not great, a bit low on the hops for an American Pale. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2009 Had on draft at gettysburg location. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with medium offwhite head. Aroma piney and slight caramel sweetness. Flavor is decently watery with and earthy caramel base and piney resiny dry hop finish. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jul 29, 2009 Bottle pours a clear ambner with fair ring off off white head. Nose and flavor of fruity citrusy hops and some caramel backbone. More impressed than I expected to be, but nothing special. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA May 17, 2009 Not particularly interesting but pretty well made. Tight nose gives up a little caramel. Lightly sweet flavor; meh. clong83 (243), San Diego, California, USA May 4, 2009 Not sure why this beer has gotten a lackluster approval rating... It’s not a world-beater, but it’s not half bad. Decent caramel flavor with a well-balanced hop bitterness. Some citrus notes. It’s not for hopheads, and it’s a tad over-carbonated, but it tastes pretty good, and it’s got a nice depth to it. lumpsowers (235), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Apr 12, 2009 Cloudy amber pour, medium head, medium lacing. Spicy piny aroma. Nice medium/high carb. Nice piny flavor, with a good amount of sweet candy, with a healthy piny/IPA bite. Some floral with a thick phlegmy mouthfeel.
