Commercial Description:
Rockville Rye Ale is a unique creation developed by our brewers which utilizes 15 % rye malt, flaked rye and flaked oats. The combination of these grains with the barley malt offers a slightly heavier malt complexity than normally found in a light copper ale. The grainy rye flavors emerge from the interesting sweetness and are balanced nicely against a spicy hop finish.

Much better than their Kipona. hazy golden pour with a decent head, white. Hoppy aroma with little rye. Great on a warm day.

Poured a cloudy golden color with a small foamy white head. Very nice aroma of mild hops and rye. The flavor was a good bit of bitter rye, without being too much, and a nice touch of piney and grassy hops. A very enjoyable brew.

Tap at Brewpub. Bready, yeasty aroma. Light and crisp. Yellow gold color, pale colored for an ale. Nothing like a pale ale, though! The rye is very mild, giving it a dry flavor. I didn’t find it particularly bitter, not at all, very smooth, easy to drink.

Lots of bitter rye flavor, moderate hoppiness and tartness. Not as good as Hop Rod, but it’s pretty tasty.

What a beer! I never had a "rye" beer before, but after this I went right home and brewed one myself. We’ll see....Rye- what a concept!

A very decent rye. Not as bold as the leaders in this category but still a crisp, dry, full-bodied beer.

On tap. Poured an amber color with a smaller head. No other specific aroma or smell other tha Rye (but not over powering). Not a bad beer.
