Commercial Description:
Practically a “hop tea”. Starts off with a huge, fresh, grassy hop nose from late addition hops (not dry hopped). Medium body palate with a complex malty start fading into a big bitter hop finish. The honor of creating this commemorative beer went to our youngest yet most senior brewer Logan “shindig” Schaedig.

On tap at MBG Summer Festival. Poured brown with a red tint and a reddish head. Lots of hop notes, mainly woodsy with an undertone of malt. Started with hop notes and ended smoothly bitter.

MBGSF Cloudy coper color with a small creamy head. Nose is piney and resiny hops with a light malt note. Palate is medium with a fizzyness. Flavor is the resiny pine hop notes with a light sweet malt note.

On tap at the 2009 MBGSF. Hazy copper with creamy beige head. Aroma is citrus and grapefruit with sweeter caramel and pine. Flavor is nice citrus bitterness, caramel, pine and spice, tasty and dry but pretty straight forward. Medium to light with active carbontion. Almost like a lighter fresh barleywine. I can dig it.

I had this on tap at the brewery. This is my first time adding a beer, I can’t believe it wasn’t on here! Anyways, It’s always been kind of hit or miss in my experiences with ABC, but this one was DEFINITELY on! A beautiful bouquet of hops, which led me to think that is was going to overpowering, but it wasn’t at all. The flavor was dead on, and perfectly balanced. I’m not sure if they’re bottling this or not, so if your in Ann Arbor, you should stop in for a pint. Cheers!
