Commercial Description:
This traditional Hefeweizen is light bodied, gold and cloudy in appearance, with banana and clove in the nose. A clean citrus finish makes this the perfect spring/summer time beer.

Hazy golden coloured body with a very thin pure white head. Aroma of corn, lavender, yeast, curacao and some bananas - very nice! Medium-bodied; Strong yeast and bananas in the taste with wheat and a mild sweetness to finish it up. Aftertaste has definite citrus fwangs with a light yeastie feel and a mild spice. Overall, seemingly nice and refreshing, well-rounded and complex. Not the best I’ve had for the style, but not a bad beer and certainly above average - worth trying! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 03-August-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 16-October-2008.

Kind of ugly, dirty yellow color. Lightly tart, with a crisp body. Prominent tastes are sweet malts (cookie and caramel) with a little bit of coriander and lemon thrown in. Aftertaste of spice and sugar lingers.

bottle. golden pour with minimal white head...aroma of wheat, clove, citrus, and banana...flavor is very much the same with large banana and lemon...clove is somewhat of an overkill in this beer as well

Bottle: Not a bad hefeweizen, but a little too sweet. Pours yellow with no head. Aroma of spices and citrus. Flavor of sugar, bananas and lemon.

12oz bottle, courtesy of Ryan. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color; headless. Dust, bananas, and light cloves in the aroma; some honey and Belgian sugars; a bit muddled. Medium mouthfeel: light carbonation; honey, soft cloves and spicing; basic, and a touch watery at the edges; not really an exceptional hefeweizen at all. Medium finish: breadiness, toasty malts, and bananas; some dryness from the cloves at the far end.
