I was just in Germany last month, and haven’t found an American beer that could closely approximate the beer I had their until this. Highly recommended!! brownalegirl (199), Fountain, Michigan, USA

Great aroma of clove and banana, very clean and crisp. Nice cloudy appearence, rather thin for my taste, but a nicely done weizen hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA

Of course, I was a wheat beer novice then. Now I find the citrusy PLUS estery blast of this brew huge and wonderful. It can’t compare with the ABC alt, but it is top notch fare, to be sure. And, they pour it with a reasonable amount of head. Not very complex, with regard to flavor and palate, until it is allowed to warm a little. Then, some banana and clove esters surface. A couple of these gave me a decent buzz. I’m not sure what the ABV is on this. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Pours a thick-hazed sandy yellow body with a foamy white head leaving a wet lace. Sour milk in the aroma (which oddly doesn’t offend) along with estery bananas. Flavor finds a defined base of wheat held together with banana glue. A little chalky but full-bodied and mostly fluffy. A good Hefe and one of only a few Arbor brews I’d recommend. Just serve it without the fruit, PLEASE?
