UnsofistaCat (208), Garden City, Michigan, USA Jul 11, 2008 I bought this hoping for a dry cold beer to drink in the summer by my grill. I ended up with nasty ass homebrew. Butterscotch popcorn. Diacetyl and bad bacon grease. Funky farm yard pig water.
Despite all of this, I think I’ve had worse beer. Do I slightly like funky farm yard pig water?
jcwattsrugger (3862), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and hazy amber color. Aroma is some spice, yeast, light malt. Taste is spice/pepper, yeast. Light malt, some copper @ the finish. Beaver (474), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA May 8, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden amber with a thin head that quickly diminishes to a thin film.
The aroma is big butterscotch and some sour apples.
The flavor is the same as the aroma - butterscotch and some caramel and sour apples with a dry finish. The mouthfeel is thin and watery.
Overall, it’s not terrible, but it is rather strange. I kind of wonder if this was a bad bottle or if it was meant to be like this.
jeremyd365 (81), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Apr 8, 2008 Poured a medium yellow in color with a medium head which dispersed quickly.
Smelled nothing out of the ordinary.
Its taste followed the smell and was a pretty ordinary blonde.
This beer was average all around. It was quite drinkable, but taste-wise it doesn’t quite take you to flavor-country. Eyedrinkale (3102), Beer Town, New York, USA Jan 15, 2008 Sour orange/tangerine. Tastes like a mouthful of nickels. Coriander and orange peel.
