The flavor matches the aroma well, very balanced and very quaffable. Pretty damn nice bitter if you ask me. CharlesDarwin (1860), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Light bread sugar and spicy English hop aroma. Airy and enjoyable. Pours a weighted gold, with no head. On the tongue, it moves gracefully with sprightly bright sugars balanced by the really nice spicy hop flavor, oaky bitterness, and mineral qualities. Very fresh tasting hop flavor, not too bitter. This beer moves as very dry and clean. Nice hop work in a deliciously drinkable style. Not thin, either, for the light weight. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2005 Sampled on draught @ Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cloudy pale. Heavily hoppy aroma giving very minty scents ruby red grapefruit and light herbs. Bready, lighty toasty malt that is pretty profound for its size with the same minty hops that were present in the nose. Another really great beer from Arbor. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 19, 2003 On tap @ Arbor Brewing Co. Whoa! Darkish orange, hints of yellow. Diminished head, yet lots of clearish lacing - weird. A great fruity nose of a touch of citrus and some pear/apple. Some soft hop bitterness in the nose. Malt is great for such a super low alch. beer - tremendous and actually quite complex. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA

Well balanced. Fairly sweet caramel malt initially then a solid citrus finish from the hops. Nice. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2001 After a week of sampling Octoberfests it was nice to feel the full floral ferocity of a well hopped beer. There’s even a hint of something behind the hops and a bit of citrus on finish, but these attributes are just too small.
