Low head retention. This lightly cloudy brew is smooth and mild and makes for a great sipping beer. The hops have a good supporting note and do not overpower the malt. The beer has a great mouth feel and has a slight hazlenut flavor. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Heavily hoppy aroma giving very minty scents ruby red grapefruit and light herbs. Bready, lighty toasty malt that is pretty profound for its size with the same minty hops that were present in the nose. Another really great beer from Arbor. Tmoney99 (4767), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2005 Grapefruit-orange hop nose. Hazy yellow gold with low white head that diminishes to lasting cover and coats the glass. Assertive grapefruit hop flavour is tart with low underlying dry malt and grainy character. Bitterness lasts in the aftertaste. Soapy, floral and citrus hops are evident throughout. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. A very hop forward American interpretation of the style that could perhaps use a touch more malt character. Sampled on tap at the brewpub.
