Nov 6, 2007 Black, clear color with modest head. Mostly malt flavor, with some sweetness and little hop bitterness. IMHO this is a good example of the style.

Oct 14, 2007 Dark brown, almost black in color with full creamy white head. Dark roasted malt aromas with a bit of nuttiness, bittersweet chocolate, and an herbal aftertaste strangely enough like Dr. Pepper. Well carbonated and highly drinkable. Medium to full in body with a creamy texture and nice clean finish.

Sep 27, 2007 This black ale poured with a massive tan head and a malty aroma. This beer is extremely carbonated. There is a pleasant slightly sweet smoked malt flavor.

Aug 28, 2007 12 oz. bottle from Dansting. Pour is an explosively large tan / off-white head. Mahogany color. Aroma is nutty and smoky. Taste is a nice nut maltiness with a slightly roasted finish. Nice subtle flavors and a very drinkable beer.
