May 6, 2006 On tap at the Arbor Brew Pub. Poured a deeper and cloudy dull copper color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of light roast, citrus, some caramel, and very light spice. Tastes follow the same. Light lacing left on the glass.

Jan 3, 2007 Bottle... Dark, hazy, burnt orange ale with a large, fluffy, khaki head. Terrific retention. The nose is herbal and floral with notes of black tea, carnations and tangerine. The flavor leans a touch on the bitter side of balance and is citrusy and dry. The cascades wash away almost all signs of residual sweetness. Medium-bodied with a harsh mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. Bone-dry finish.

Dec 30, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Dark muddy reddish brown, like drying blood...sour cherry-licorice nose is subtle and balanced sweet-tart...roasty, dry initial flavor profile with some background earthy pungent hops...very woody/fruity later, cherries and various berries...wet finish. Lovely.

Aug 21, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a thin light tan head and brown/red color. Aroma is medium/dark malt-molasses/chocolate, some nutty/peat/smoky, earthy. Taste is medium/dark malt-molasses/chocolate, some nutty/peat/smoky, earthy. Mild carbonation.

Jun 5, 2006 The body was dark copper colored. The aroma was iced tea and toffee. The taste was toffee. The finiah was a hint of chocolate. A little roug, but still a decent session beer.
