a2forten (4), Michigan, USA does not count Jun 12, 2008 combines the rich malty character of an Amber Ale, the crisp hops of an American Pale Ale and the roasted, nutty flavors of an English Brown. tourette (183), San Francisco, California, USA Sep 30, 2001 This is a really enjoyable beer. The other reviewer is right, in that its not that hoppy. Taken on its own terms, its really good though. Very easy drinking, and still falvorful and complex enough to keep me interested. michidan07 (22), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Oct 8, 2006 Updated: Oct 17, 2006This is my staple beer. Though they just started bottling it, I’ve only ever had it on tap at the brewery. Here, it varies batch-to-batch. Generally it’s full with great malts, and a clean, bitter hop finish. Both refreshing and satisfying, it’s just what I want out of an ale. Hoppier of late.
......Bottle, October 2006:
Much darker color, fuller body and flavor out of the new bottles. Simply fabulous. AOF (281), Naperville, Illinois, USA May 21, 2007 4 oz sample, World Expo of Beer. Frankenmuth, MI. Flavor included chocolate, dry, and some roasted flavors. The best one of the evening.
