Hudspart (283), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA Apr 24, 2008 Bottle: Pours amber (of course) with, at least for me, a very small head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Actually rather good.
a2forten (4), Michigan, USA does not count Jun 12, 2008 combines the rich malty character of an Amber Ale, the crisp hops of an American Pale Ale and the roasted, nutty flavors of an English Brown. rudolf (1540), Buffalo, New York, USA Jun 12, 2008 Goodbar Beer Club. Amber/ruby body. Nose is dusty rye, grapefruit (not hops, but actual grapefruit), light sour twinge. Flavor is rye, decent hops and a nice maltiness. Very light mouthfee. sneagrams3 (1342), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 22, 2008 Tasted 5/11/08. 12oz bottle. Lively pour. Half the bottle got me two fingers of bubbling head. Yeasty aromas of cinnamon citrus and a slight ginger note. Clinging head. Medium bodied with a tart caramel flavor. Tight effervescence and peppery. Spicy and toasty. Slight cocoa flavor. Nice bitter hop flavor. Tart lemon citrus hops. Good amber. Tart and bitter but tasty. UnsofistaCat (203), Garden City, Michigan, USA May 14, 2008 This thing has a farmhouse character to it that’s just weird. Monstrous rocky head as if its some bizarre beer from France. Kind of a harsh bitter bite to it with a slight funky moldy taste to it. Moldy. basement light malt nose. Weird. But kind of good.
