downender (2535), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jul 19, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 18/7/08. Copper coloured with a decent off-white head. Aroma was dominated by smokey malt, more ash-like than roasted, with some accompanying red fruit. Flavour started sweet, with some more ash and a long, dry finish. Unusual.
