Absolutely no body though, with just a light bit of caramel and a bit of toffee and fruit, all subdued and in the background, not much to this beer at all. Unimpressive. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 30, 2006 12oz. bottle. Sweet, toasty malt aroma with hints of honey and caramel, along with lighter notes of floral, leafy, fruity hops. Medium amber color, hazy and sedimented with a fine, fading off-white head. Flavor is grainy, lightly sweet maltiness in the background throughout, with a tangy, citric, fruity bitterness taking the main role, unfortunately turning a might sour and metallic towards the finish, which is dry and lightly peppery. Body is light-medium, palate is on the watered down side. This has some elements of the style I enjoy but doesn’t seem put together in a fashion I tend to appreciate. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 14, 2006 Poured a slightly darker than normal amber with a decent amount of creamy head. Not much in the way of tast though, just some malt taste. Nothing spectacular. tjthresh (1781), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2006 Pours on the dark side of amber, slight haze, with a cream colored head. The aroma is kind of weird for me. There is a definite orange hop aroma, with a buttered toast malt character. Again, there is a pronounces citrus hop flavor, with sweet toasted caramel malt flavor. The palate is full and well rounded. Perfect for the style. I’ll probably never buy this beer again, but it is not too bad. zebracakes (1217), Washington DC, USA

Notes of apples and citrus and slight pruny note in the aroma. Medium bodied. Tingling, off-dry. Smooth malts. Hints of cocoa and a medium toasty malt roast. Nutty and sweet. Good and toasty. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2006 From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a bottled/freshness date along the right side of label.
Made a good appearance with the usual Arcadia high carbonation, opens with a pop, poured a clear red and golden hued orange with a large foamy head that slowly settles into a thin cream foamy lacing, minimal amount of sticking.
Had a fruit tea and toasted caramel nose with a floral aroma in the background.
A crisp and carbonated smooth lightish medium body mouth feel, good drinkability.
Toasty and caramelized malty taste with a lightly fruity tea-like hop bitterness, the bitterness is first quickly sharp, then softly rolling on the tongue, a touch of earthiness as well and a dry fruity tea with a hit of sugar finish.
A tasty amber ale from Arcadia, a nice balanced bitterness, very drinkable.
