Commercial Description:
Arcadia introduces the newest addition to its stable of world class British-style ales. Brewed with the legendary Maris Otter Malt from Scotland, this beer is full-bodied and brings a taste of sweet caramel together with a hint of toasted malt that's well balenced with a solid presence of premium American aromatic flower leaf hops. From the package: "Then let us toast John Barleycorn, Each man a glass in hand; And may his great posterity ne'er fail in old Scotland!"

Bottle: Poured an amber color with an over carbonated head that took 5 minutes to pour. The aroma was light and citrus. The flavor was decent, nothing to write home about. Hint of caramel and lemon with a sweet after taste. This beer was alright, but could be consumed in large quantity.

Pours a hazy amber color with a frothy off white head. Citrusy aroma, with a hint of nice hops. Chewy, floral taste. Might have a bad bottle, since mine didn’t appear to be over carbonated. Hoppy finish. Not bad, but seems more like a Pale then amber.

over carbonated. almost undrinkable. Maybe the bottle was bad but I don’t think so. It was un pourable and very , well - crappy. this one is a loser.

Absolutely completely uninteresting and indistinguishable. Just an overcarbonated monodimensional use of malt and a few hops. BORING.

Old rating Amber color, one fingered head. Aroma is sweet; light caramel, mild earthiness/spiciness, some fruit? Taste is light caramel, malty, and slightly sweet. Mild earthy & spicy finish. Typical blah amber ale; light malt, light english-type hops.

cloudy amber colored with off white head, this ale has slight floral aroma with note of hops. sweet and malty in flavor, it finishes rather bitter and feels a bit lacking in balance.

Mid-amber in color with a minimalist head. Sweet honeybun aroma with mild toffee and florals. Mid-bodied, a little "wet". Flavor concentrates on malts with a touch of lemony bitterness in the finish. Well made, but with so much more to experience, a sample is all I needed of this today.
