Commercial Description:
Arcadia introduces the newest addition to its stable of world class British-style ales. Brewed with the legendary Maris Otter Malt from Scotland, this beer is full-bodied and brings a taste of sweet caramel together with a hint of toasted malt that's well balenced with a solid presence of premium American aromatic flower leaf hops. From the package: "Then let us toast John Barleycorn, Each man a glass in hand; And may his great posterity ne'er fail in old Scotland!"

A very interesting amber Ale. It had some pear-fruity flavors. Definitely took the British approach to this ale. There was a tall billowing off-white head that really pretty to look at. Average at best.

Cloudy amber with big, floatsam head / Sour malt nose / Medium body, overly carbonated with no finish / Fizz dominates sour apple and sugar flavors, tasting like a hard cider / Back to the drawing board.

A creamy, sustained head rests atop a clear amber body. Spotty lacing. The aroma is malty, balanced with fruity and floral scents. The flavor is of sweet malt, orchard fruits, and a solid floral/herbal bitterness.Good sessionable ale.
Personal Milestone: Amber Ale Rating #100 (out of 3570) !!!!!

Cloudy amber color with massive off white head (I only had to pour a fourth of the bottle to fill my Surly glass entirely with foam). Cotton candy sweet nose. Similar overly candy sweet body with a faint malt characteristic.

Found this one bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Medium reddish-orange pour with a lacy, rapidly dissipating head, a sweet carmel-apple nose, a bit sweet like blueberries or cotton candy, with a bit of floral hoppiness. Pretty good.

Bottled. Caramel with a light cream-colored head. Mild, almost non-existant nose. Thick on palate, some berry flavor, some malts and hops.

Marigold and hay aroma. Color is deep amber, almost red, and not terribly clear. It has a thick tan head and leaves good lacing. The taste is biting and sour. There is a rather nice balance of grapefruit and hops. At times, yeast can be tasted, but only a very little. Finish is lime and quite refreshing.
