Commercial Description:
Arcadia introduces the newest addition to its stable of world class British-style ales. Brewed with the legendary Maris Otter Malt from Scotland, this beer is full-bodied and brings a taste of sweet caramel together with a hint of toasted malt that's well balenced with a solid presence of premium American aromatic flower leaf hops. From the package: "Then let us toast John Barleycorn, Each man a glass in hand; And may his great posterity ne'er fail in old Scotland!"

12 oz. bottle. Cloudy tanish color. Aroma is sweet, with some spices in there. Taste had a slightly sour flavor, a bit like how other previous people have commented on - a little copper, a little odd. There’s no way this many around the country have just been infected. Was better cold before it began to warm.

Hazy tan, with a huge billowy head (think rootbeer float). Aroma is sweet, very spicy (coriander, celery seed, orange zest), and I’m also thinking infection. Flavor is yeasty , malts at the forefront remind of dark toast, and I think this is infected with some bret, because I taste sour horse-blanket, followed by a very metallic, old-penny section, the the celery seed, then a long, grassy finish. This yeasyness and infection reminds me of a beer I had a few years ago that gave me horrible gas for days. God, let’s hope not. I definitely need to try this fresh.

a little skunky/natty ice... appearance great but we like more head... good amber ale flavor but disappears without leaving anything behind as soon as it leaves my throat

Pours a hazy orange-copper. The nose is a dull citrus, candy, and a hint of hops. The taste is an odd somewhat sour citrus, light hops, and a little musty. It also feels a little oily in the mouth.

Opened 12 oz with huge pop and could barely pour this sucker in without it overflowing. Murky orange, amber appearance, with off white head. Aroma sweet with orange, apple, and very light hop notes. Tastes sweet, but slightly infected, like bandaids. Medium body with little carbonation that could have left when it was poured. Not impressed.

(12oz bottle) Small off-white head atop lightly hazed amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, sour cherry. Taste is medium sweet, sour cherry, light caramel. Light-medium body. Undoubtedly infected, but tastes ok this way.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours copper/amber with a small white quickly dissapating head. Aroma of toasted caramel malts and floral hops. The flavor is caramel, floral, sweet, and floral with a tiny hoppy bitterness in the finish.

very thin, copper color with light head. orange and carmel, and some floral stuff with the potential that pennies were sitting at the bottom of the bottle. a decent brew but nothing to shake a stick at.
