Terrific retention. Malty & floral aroma with notes of biscuit, black tea, brown sugar, clover honey and sugar cookie. Sweet & malty flavor up front with touches of citrus fruit, pine, toffee and lemon. Adequate bitterness on the backside with notes of citrus rind, evergreen and zest of lemon. Medium-bodied and creamy with pillow-soft carbonation. Lengthy, lightly bitter, grassy finish. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 30, 2005 Copper color with a taller diminishing light tan head. Sulfur, brown sugar and mild floral aromas. I don’t know where the sulfur is coming from, but it is there as I overdosed at paper mill once and can now smell it from miles away. I does diminish, but it leaves behind a mild vegetable nose. This leaves no punches pulled as the alcohol is quite evident from the start. Some mild caramel and toasted grain flavors work their way in, but for a style I have little respect for to begin with, this does not help the styles image. The aroma and the flavors do seem to pick up as it warms, with some mild fruit. but the damage is already done with a brutal start. Tmoney99 (4792), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Bottle 12oz. Amber hue with a tan head that dissipates slowly. Medium aroma of citrus and bread. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium flavor that is very refreshing with a tart finish. bhensonb (4371), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 25, 2008 12 oz. bottle. The ale surged out. Amber color with a two finger off-white head. Wonderful floral hop aroma - I’m in England. Medium body with fine carbonation. Flavor is more caramel malt than hop, but there is nearly enough bitter in the finish to remedy that. It’s really good, and it might fit ESB or Strong Ale across the pond. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2006 Dark amber body with a light khaki head. The aroma is grapefruit and some light caramel. The taste has some caramel with a light note of citrus. The citrus is playing in the background. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but that helps to make this more drinkable. A decent amber.
