Medium and rather tasty. Balanced and smooth. Caramel malt note. Also honeyish. Melon taste from the hops. Nothing special, but I did enjoy the malt character and the balanced that it contributed to the brew. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2006 12 oz bottle: poured cloudy orange brown with yeast particles. Earthy, hoppy aroma. Flavor is moderately bitter and earthy and quite carbonated. Somewhat grainy but still a decent beer IMHO. JMerritt (1321), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 12, 2006 Poured a two-hued dark/medium amber with a massive, frothy khaki-colored head thanks to the gushing bottle opening. Flowery, slightly citrisy aroma, mainly dominated by grainy wheat and straw. Flavor is astrigent, grainy rye, barley, pumpernickel, and old caramel candy - a mishmash of flavors that don’t really jive. Bottle seems old, but if Arcadia doesn’t actually mark the stupid bottles with the bottling/best-by date, who is to know if the bottle is old or if the beer is simply no-good to begin with? jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 12, 2006 This tastes soapy. Really soapy. Bitter and flowery too. Really thick head. Very watery. The taste isn’t too bad but there is a funky floral perfume taste that just makes this pretty odd. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Dark gold with a thin head and streams of bubbles from the sides of the glass. A good aroma of malt with not much of a hint of hops. Actually smells like a college bar. The body is medium and the flavor is slightly malty but, not much else. SledgeJr (2966), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2006 In the bottle. Pours a dark golden color with an ivory head. Beer is quite cloudy from the bottle conditioned yeast content. The head was big and bubbly- it took 2 glasses to contain a 12 oz bottle. The foam remained bizarrely thick with a volcano-like mushroom cloud structure to the end. In fact, it resembled a rolled up condom. Aroma is minimal , but a small hop scent is there. Flavor is smooth and not overtly bitter. In fact it is smooth and mellow for this style. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2006 Copper body with a white cap. Cotton candy aroma nice flavor that makes me smile. A nice mellow sweetness permeates this. Toffee and something like maple syrup. Finish has a bitter level that compliments the sweet well. I’d like to add more but that sums up this enjoyable beverage I will purchase again.
