Pours a hazy amber with a decent off-white head that has a little staying power. Light sweetness up front turns to a caramel and light hop finish. A little metallic in the finish. Malty aftertaste. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA

Aroma is muted floral hops and caramel malt. Light bodied and a touch watery. Good balance with light hop bitterness lasting a good bit of time. Decent but not spectacular. screigh (263), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 12, 2005 Poured a monster head. The head settled down and lasted the entire beer with some lacing. Color is a hazy orange/copper. Lots of "stuff" floating in this pour. The aroma has a slight fuity smell, kind of like pears. The beer is very bland and almost tastes like a VERY WEAK stout. I don’t think they hit the "pale ale in the British tradition" with this beer. I don’t even think I can taste any hops. While this beer is OK, at best, it surely is not worth thr price of admition. Many other great beers available in this price range. tbarnette (105), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Poured this guy and got about 1/50 beer, 49/50 foam. Dumped it out and tried again, but slower. I got it to about 25% beer this time. I let the head dwindle down and tried her out. Taste was sharp spice and ass, all mixed into one glass. This beer was obviously infected or something else bad. I’m just going to rate it as it was however. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 11, 2005 Orangey amber color with a moderate head. Aroma is rather piney with a sweet malt presence. Taste is piney and moderatly sweet. Moderatly bitter, with some slightly sour yeasty tones (perhaps as a result of dirty keg lines). Finish is lightly sour, lightly hoppy and piney. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 9, 2005 Hazy golden in color with a creamy, two-fingered head, this has a delicate floral and orange hop aroma. Medium-bodied, it’s got a light, sweet malt flavor with an herbal bitter taste. Having a mildly bitter finish, this would make a good session beer.
