Dec 20, 2004 Bottle. Medium sized white head that mostly diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, fair lacing, yeasty, carbonated, cloudy, and an orange brown hue. Aroma was malty, hoppy and somewhat sweet. Sweet, hoppy and some malt notes in the flavor. Tingly mouthfeel. Medium bodied beer.

Dec 1, 2004 Pours deep cloudy golden copper, huge off-white head that leaves some lacing in the glass, flowery aromas. Dry citrus flavors, the hops stand out in the end with a nice clean, dry finish, light to medium body with a crisp super carbonated mouthfeel, pretty average.

Nov 21, 2004 Murky golden orange with a fair amount of sediment and a minimal, white head. Very nice lemon/apple aroma with a bit of hops. Flavor is nicely malty at the start and tapers off to a hearty, hoppy finish, but this beer needs a little more flavor character; I’m not getting much of that caramel the description indicates. Full body and clean. Solid.

Sep 11, 2004 Pours a dirty orange. Nice head and aroma to this brew. Flavor is nice and hoppy with a touch of malt A pale ale just as good or damn near as good as SNPA. Good Stuff. I was leary of this at first just b/c of the name. Most beers with fishing are just crap but this is the exception.

Aug 15, 2004 Orange color with a medium head. Very sharp hops aroma and taste but not over done at all. A little herbal as well. A nice EPA.

Jul 17, 2004 Pale and unfiltered cloudy gold with a bit of an orangey hint, firm and frothy thick finger high beige head, keeps a good skim on top; lacing in sparatic strings and short sheets just above the skimming.
Not much of a nose to it, some sparce citrusy and floral hops and a crisp dry malt backing and some caprylic notes.
Taste is dryish, clean, light toasted malts, touches of citrus rinds, woodish finish and a dry clean up of gloral hops. Some of the caprylic notes pop through nearer the start but gets washed away quickly with the dryidh malt and carbonation.
Feel is about medium bodied, carbonation seems a bit much, bitterness is mild, more of an English bite then anything. The Goldings do a good job but not overly so. And at 5% it could be sessionable material. There’s better and there’s worse, this is driving middle of the road type stuff. Not bad. I’d have this again.
