Cloudy amber with an extra large frothy white head, slowly dissipating. What’s up with the mammoth heads on these arcadia beers, it’s kind of annoying. Aroma of toasted malts, earthy and noble hops, fruit, grain and sweet malt. Taste of toasted barley, noble hops, grains. A touch over carbonated.

(12 oz bottle) caveat: this may have been a bad bottle. It was hazy and had some sediment - since I don’t see that it’s supposed to be bottle conditioned, it is likely off. Huge head, hazy deep gold. Earthy aroma. Flavor is yeast, earthy hops.

I was greatly surprised and impressed by this one. I first heard about it last fall and I had looked it up and their own website made it sound like a weak, light beer so I avoided it for the longest time. However, I gave it a shot recently and was very glad I did. It reminded me of a strong, English pale, very similar to a Bass. It had some mild yet distict hops but also a solid malt finish. This may be one of my new favorites from Arcadia!

Drank at the brewery, 2006. While not a fan of English Pale Ales, this is a great representative of the style. Nice flavors of the ringwood yeast at hand. Far better than Fullers!

Too carbonated. Each bottle of the 6 pack foamed over and left 50 % head in the glass. QC problem. Taste is ruined by the fizzy palate. Not bad but I’ll pass until they institute a QA program
