| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Way too carbonated for the style with a mountainous head. Hazy amber. Interesting floral aroma with pear and minerals.Sweet and malty with toffee, spicy hops and a distinct mineral note. Kind of reminds me of a Saison. Really pretty godd and definitely under rated. bhensonb (4285), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Bottle. Aromas of pale malt and fruity/floral hop. Hazy golden amber color witha near rocky white head. Near medium body with vigorous carbonation. Flavor is floral hop with some malt. It’s balanced, but the florality is quite dominant. Not malty enough for an ESB, so an EPA? Definitely not an APA. It’s really a very good drink. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 28, 2008 Pours a hazy light amber-orange with fine sediment and a huge, loose, frothy, beige head that diminishes slowly. The aroma must fight to penetrate the prodigious head, but after patiently waiting for it to settle, I get: musty, herbal, earthy hops blended with pale malt. Medium-bodied and almost creamy, the soft palate concludes in a slightly woody-dry and almost metallic finish. Normally I would hate the latter note, but for some reason, it works with this beer. The flavor is of herbal, dusty hops with a hint of light wood and sour tangerine over a pale malt backbone. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of this style, but I actually found this one interesting. I think this beer would pair quite well with a lot of foods, and I’d be curious to see how this tasted on cask. It’s a solid session brew. MrRain (431), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 21, 2008 I’ve been too harsh on Arcadia. This is the third one in a row I’ve liked after a long Arcadia dry spell. This is actually a great, dry-ish beer. pumpkinheart (63), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Bottle into Shaker glass. Pours a translucent amber with a one finger white head. Aroma has some smokiness and hints of fruitiness. Taste is mild malts with overpowering, strong bitterness undertones. Left an almost chalky feel inside my mouth. Unfortunately, not quite what I would have hoped for. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 14, 2008 Bottle: Poured a golden orange/amber color with too much head. Aroma was that of grass, pine and citrus. The flavor was hoppy and smooth. A very drinkable beer for large consumption. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Cask at the brewer. Clear golden orange in color. Wet, fresh hop oils and some smooth British cask-like nutty and woody hop scents, mild and bitter all at once. The malt presence is nice, with a slightly sweet and chewy note, but also viscous on the tongue. Wet and metallic in the finish, the tinny hops try their best to bite the tongue, but this one is a soft, wet, delicate hoppy amber with a scotch liqueur and butter note at the end that finishes well. Not an amazing beer but a good drinker nonetheless. Funknmilla (593), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA
