As soon as I popped it open, it proceeded to try and cover my entire desk in a volcanic flow of carbonated Angler’s Ale. Lucky I was fast and was able to catch most of it in my glass as I ran to the bathroom, in the process stepping on my dog (at least he was compensated by being allowed to lick up everything from the bathroom floor). Now to the beer. Poured a medium and see through orange color with a huge, huge off white head. Aromas of flowers, light caramel and nuts. Also had a little bit of a perfume or soapiness to it. Tastes of caramel, flowers and toasted malts. Not too crazy about the whole experience with this one. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Excellent retention and cool, spiderweb lacework. The nose is of orange blossom honey, evergreen and grapefruit. Perfectly balanced flavor with notes of toffee, lemon and grapefruit rind. Light-bodied and mildly creamy with lively carbonation. Short, crisp, lightly bitter finish. Refreshing, at least. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Cask at the brewer. Clear golden orange in color. Wet, fresh hop oils and some smooth British cask-like nutty and woody hop scents, mild and bitter all at once. The malt presence is nice, with a slightly sweet and chewy note, but also viscous on the tongue. Wet and metallic in the finish, the tinny hops try their best to bite the tongue, but this one is a soft, wet, delicate hoppy amber with a scotch liqueur and butter note at the end that finishes well. Not an amazing beer but a good drinker nonetheless. Cornfield (4980), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 9, 2005 Hazy golden in color with a creamy, two-fingered head, this has a delicate floral and orange hop aroma. Medium-bodied, it’s got a light, sweet malt flavor with an herbal bitter taste. Having a mildly bitter finish, this would make a good session beer.
