Hazy copper color with a large tan-white head. Big fresh hop nose with a sweetish malty hop taste. Thanks Mike mcallister!

Pours a lite amber with a frothy head. Aroma of fresh cut grass with some minor notes of pine and citrus. Lite-med. bodied. Some sourish and grassy, piney flavors. Lite bittering. Nothing spectacular.

Very dirty and cloudy light brown. Beatific head, one of the puffiest and creamiest I’ve seen. Nose very piney, somewhat citric plenty of hops, bit woody. Flavor is hoppy, again pine and citric, somewhat flowery, rather bitter, but astringent and a mite harsh. Sweet malts are there but not enough, a bit harsh. Some other oddness there, not sure how to describe it, odd yeastiness or something? Weird stuff.

Bottle pours a dirty dark caramel, reddish hues, quite cloudy, large white foamy head, attractive lacing, with very little carbonation.   Sharp hop aroma, albeit somewhat soft.   Oddly enough, I also detect some Ramen noodles.   Subtle hop bite up front, but feels thick and coats the mouth well.   Very smooth.   Enjoyable body and mouthfeel.   Finishes with lingering semi-sweet bitterness, slightly malty.   This was a nice example of an IPA that is not overhopped or overly bitter.   Good stuff!   Thanks goes out to TAR for the trade!

This is one of those IPA’s that I could easilly drink numerous bottles of - big hops and the body is not too thick. Aroma is bright but the hop flavor is more of a woody/piney well rounded bitterness. Thans for sharing this, Mikemcallister!

Deep copper to light amber body with a silky beige head. Sweet malty nose plus citrus and mango hops. Also has a note of brown sugar. This is a sweet and malty IPA with a woodsy flavor and bittering quality. Profile suggests a Stone Old Guardian light.

Wow, what a high average/score for this beer. Not sure why though? Poured with a large tan head, lasting retention but with a minimal lacing. Lightly hazy copper/amber color. Large citrus nose, light metallic notes, grainy malts. Medium body, well carbonated. Medium sweet malt flavors with a so,so hoppiness, citrus, pine along with grainy, lightly astringent malt notes. Finish is dry, biting. Thanks to JCW for the trade.

bottle-purchased at woodmans in Madison, WI-This beer threw me for a curve. I dind’t know what to think of it. I tasted 3/4 bottles to see if maybe there was a difference, but all were mostly the same. here is what i got from this beer. pours a deep amber hue with nice off-white head. Slightly hazy even after pouring the beer easy without spilling all the yeast into the glass. Peach, apricot, grape, orange, sour apples in the aroma. Almost has a belgian yeast characteristic to it. Very different for an IPA. A Belgian IPA maybe? Even the palate shows belgian in its yeast/texture qualities. Yea, this beer is hoppy, but i would not call it an ipa. THis is definately an experimental beer that is worth a try. Definately an enigma of a brew.
