| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2005 Bottle: Cloudy pure amber color with a small, creamy tan head. Sweet fruity aroma, surprisingly sweet, with hints of pear, apple, cotton candy, blueberry, juniper, lemon, and caramel. Taste is tons of hops, but there’s a nice mix of the bitter citrus flavors and sweet berry flavors. I get flowers, citrus, blueberry, honey, bitter chocolate, caramel, cherry, sweet grass, light coffee. Finishes with a slightly sour lemon, light citrus, caramel, sweet grapefruit and clean dish soap (not in a bad way). Medium bodied with a full & creamy palate. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 8, 2005 Common IPA appearance, murky amber with a thick off-white head. Aroma is much more subdued than I would expect. A slight hop presence, but also some roasty, smokey, malty smells as well. The body is medium and well balanced with hints of lemon hops and sugary malts. Has a slightly bitter, dry aftertaste. bkelley68 (467), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2005 (Big thanks to Mike McCallister for this tasty brew!) WHOAAA!! Big hops! This one really explodes on you right away. Huge head with equally huge lacing. Awesome nose full of dank hops that are really piney and grassy, with a touch of apple. Malt is the first thing that jumps out at you on the palate. But the hops are just bangin’ the whole time. Finishes with a crisp, bitter snap and a graham cracker malt flavor. really good stuff. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2005 Bottle at jeffc666’s Birthday Gathering. Courtesy of MilkmanDan. Copper body with a small tannish head. Aroma is strongly hopped with some lighter notes of creamy malt. Taste is big citrusy hops, some floral notes, and more nice malt notes. There is faint smokiness in this as well. Body is full with some creaminess and a decent carbonation feel. There’s an obvious bitterness on the palate as well. Finish is more hops and more floral notes with a pleasant malted balance to it. Nice beer!
