| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 17, 2008 I bought this 2006 bottle from Beers of the World and promptly drank it. It poured a deep amber color with a foamy beige head. The nose had a pinching barnyard funk and sour cherry tang about it. It tasted like it had Brett in it to me. Sour cherries, moldy hay, rotten grapefruit rind and stale grass clippings. Not what I look for in an old ale. But I did drink the whole thing sitting there playing cards. dukefan (173), Dallas, Texas, USA

Was assuming it would be similar to Cereal Killer, but this was a bit problematic. Dough77 (777), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Smelled and slightly tasted of vomit.....I hate that. ALWAYS. Got so slightly better toward the end of it, minimally though. Some spice, some sweet caramel. Tad hot. BustedFlat (553), Edina, Minnesota, USA

Citrus note. Cookie aroams. Full bodied and noticeable alcohol. Cola effervescence. Pruney and bitter. Rubbery bitter hops. Smokey and thick. Cloying finish. Caramel and toffee. Nice bitterness. Spicy and peppery. Not quite melded. Meh... shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

The pour is a murky reddish brown with half a ring of creamy white bubbles. Maybe its the temperature, but I’m not getting a lot of aroma. Theres some sweetness and some spiciness, which is odd for an old ale. The flavor is slightly spicy but also has faint hints of something doughy. Really odd. I’m not enjoying this at all. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2008 22oz from Once Upon a Vine, Richmond. Another solid but not especially memorable entry in Arcadia’s big ales series. Dark and somewhat cloudy brown/amber body, modest head and carbonation. Got a fairly interesting aroma, sort of like prune with burnt caramel - smells much better than that sounds. Not overly sweet, which is good, but not overly robust or complex, which is bad.
