Pours a reddish-brownish copper body with a decent, creamy off-white head that laces with slippery sheets of suds. It’s got a rich malty nose with a touch of caramel balanced by some bitter citric hop scents. The hops develop in the drinking, but the malty backbone is sturdy enough to deal with it. The finish is nicely bitter and lingering. Pretty decent brew.

hazy copper brown with a bubbly light tan head. floral and citrus hops mix with woody malt and alcohol in the aroma. a rather tame malt backbone splashed with caramel and toffee is overpowered by spicy hops and alcohol that combine for a perfumed cherry / almond impression. very nice coating in the mouth with alcohol warmth on the way down.

Truth be told, I only bought this beer for a christmas party because of its name. Moreover, Arcadia is not a brewery that I have enjoyed too much. However, this beer exceeded my expecations. Poured a brownish color with a good sized off white head. Aroma was unsurprisingly malt heavy; caramel, dark fruit, with a slight floral presence. Flavor again was heavy on the caramel, chocolate and ark fruit. Not an exciting or unusal version of the style, but it was pretty good. Probaly more of an average to small dick, rather than a big one.

Pours a hazy brown and small white head. Aroma is perfumy and raisens. Flavor isreally just lacking something mostly chocolate, with a light caramel flavor, and moe roastiness following. Semi sweet but roasty throughout with mainly chocolate. A touch of the perfumy aroma plays a role with a touch of raisens but not a lot. Very one-dimensional and dissapointing.

Well I was expecting more when I poured it out of the tap. Not a bad old ale but not the best example either. The nose told me raisons and dare I say Dr. Pepper, my mouth told a different story though with a overly sweet start that finished extra bitter with a long bitter aftertaste.

22 oz pours dark amber with a 2 inch head that sustains and fades to spot lace. The aroma is rather wine like, dry, leather, dare I say plastic band aid? The aroma really is pronounced and caused me to wince at the thought of taking a taste. However, the flavor is nice enough, with some understated maltiness up front followed by some very tightly coupled sourness and bitterness. There is an acidic thing that hangs on in the finish and I started to get a funky leather and plastic thing as it warms. The palate is fairly light and cleansing. This is decent enough. The aroma is a bit off putting, but I liked it past that point. There is enough good about this, but there is also enough bad about it that I suspect I need to re-rate later from a different supplier.

Aroma was powerful, alcohol, hops. I really enjoyed the flavor of this. Malty, but with strong hops. I wouldn’t call it an old ale, probably more like the american strong ale. I thought it was nicely balanced, except for a slightly unpleasant bitter aftertaste. Good flavor.

Bomber. On sale at Consumers. Fruity (too fruity) aroma, cream head, and a bitter (not hoppy, just bitter) aftertaste. Not smooth at all, and a bit of a disappointment from Arcadia, which I’ve liked so far. I’ve got yur Big Dick right here......*
