Toffee/chocalate scent, hazy orange brown apparance, palate offer high carbonation, Tastes offers malty raisin notes with high alcohol at the end with oitrus

Bomber from Joe Canal’s in Deptford, NJ. Fairly fruity with a big malt componet. Apple looms large as does some citrus. The body is a kind of murky orange/brown and holds a rapidly diminishing tan head. Thinnish fore has some Chinese baby corn, msg notes to it. A touch plasticky really. Not nearly as malt dominated as the aroma suggests. Fairly high level of carbonation give it a spritzy feel. Some decent elements, but the flavor just doesn’t appeal to me.

tap at the brewpub - Pours reddish-brown with a thin head. The aroma has lots of caramel malt and some dark fruit notes. The flavor has more caramel and plenty of dark fruit. There’s a little alcohol noticeable. The medium body has light carbonation. Overall it’s fairly light and crisp for a big beer, but I enjoyed it very much. The reviews here are surprisingly low.

Slight brown hazed pour with no head or lace. An aroma that is somewhat odd in that it is neither malty nor hoppy. A hint of heat and lite malt with an odd off bitter as well. A thin palate but has very good carbonation going for it.

Bottle purchased @ Surdyk’s in Minneapolis. This beer is MUCH better than its 51% ranking. Very smooth and nutty. Change of recipe? Only drawback is a mild bitter finish that doesn’t meld w/ the nuttty maltiness.

Bomber: Aroma is caramel malts, blended nicely with a nice fruity hop aroma, and finally some light spices and some roasted nutty scent. Pours a dirty brownish/orange (more on the brown side that the orange) with a well retaining off white head that just sits at the top of the glass. A nice malt overtone with light cinnamon, nutmeg, a very light chocolate note, and yeast. palate is nice but nothing special. Overall, the Aroma impressed me as did the appearance, but the taste and palate let me down with this one. It’s so so.

22 oz bomber. Poured a hazy amber with a frothy white head. Aroma was light malt, yeast and something I can only describe as a medicinal odor. Flavor was nice and balanced but nothing really jumped out at me on this one.

Aroma is dry hay, musty somewhat earthy. Color is deep reddish brown, fairly opaque, quickly diminishing head. Flavor is dry, bitter, light spiciness, cinnamon like flavor, some yeast is noticeable, roasted nutty malt quality, perhaps a bit of dried fruit. Palate is creamy in the mouth but dry on the finish. Pretty good, better than the sum if its parts.
