The aroma is sweet with notes of over ripe fruit, berries, and bourbon that sting in the nose. The flavor has notes of wood, bourbon, vegetables, on a slightly acidic back ground - probably from very hard roasted malt, which is what the finish is dominated by. The alcohol burns sligthtly in the mouth and warms up the cheeks. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Pours a dark brown with a vague reddish hue and a beige head. Lightly tart aroma with bourbon notes showing. Medium body, lots of roasted malt and sweet vanilla. Dried fruit and weak touches of bourbon before a subdued bitterness. If this was infected - which I don’t really believe - then it was in a most spectacular way! 070907 yespr (12412), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2009 Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very dark brown, coarse beige head. Oaky vanilla aroma. Oaky vanilla flavour. Sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Oaky vanilla finish. Well, one nice flavour does not equal a good beer. What seems so promising at first is a one way street. joergen (8635), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 20, 2006 (22oz bottle) Small tan head atop a black-cola body. Aroma is moderately sweet, alcohol/bourbon, vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet, alcohol/bourbon, light nut, alcohol warming. The bourbon characteristics were harsh and overpowering, leaving little of the underlying beer. They also seemed like they came from inferior bourbon. Light-medium body.
