I liked this beer. Dark and tastey. but it was lacking that certain something that would bring into the company of some of the more elite stouts. A good show for Arcadia but not the best, by far. I’ll pass on this the next time and stick with a proven winner.

bottle. Full mouthfeel, and nice, balanced flavor of sweet milk chocolate and roasted malt. Better than I expected.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells of chocolate and spicy. Tastes of cocoa, bitter chocolate, some roasted malt. Good for what it is.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a good tan head. Aroma was of chocolate and malt. Flavor was a good mix of chocolate, malt, and light hops. Not bad.

22. Thanks, 46er3498! Solid black with a big dense creamy tan head and dense sheets of lace. Really gorgeous looking. Big milk-sour, chocolatey nose. After years of grumbling about milk-sour in english porters, I kinda get its purpose now. Still not a fan, but at least I’m no longer actively opposed. Creamy, soft, low-carbed, medium body. Sweet and sour milk and chocolate mid-palate. Mild milky finish.

Bomber. Pour is the blackest i have ever seen a beer. Aroma is roasted malts and some chocolate. Flavor is chalky and flat. Lots of coffee with some chocolate and some wood smoke. Not overpowering in any catagory, kinda bland in my opinion.

Bottled F6! Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Pours really dark brown with a large tan head. Aromas of dark toasted malt and coffee and chocolate. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is lightly sweet with a little balancing bitter - but whether hop or burnt malt is questionable. It’s very pleasant, but it’s not exactly outstanding. I’d drink it anytime.
