Aroma is very muted, little chocolate and malt coming through. Flavor is light and a touch tame. A bit over carbonated for me. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Dark black color, ridiculousy huge beige head. Way over carbonated in my opinion. Nose is alot of bitter chocolate and deep roasted malt with a hint of coffee. Full bodied and somewhat bitter. A pretty big bite on the tongue for a stout, back to the over carbonation. Not terrible, but I expected a more balanced brew. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bomber. Pours a surprisingly dark black with decent tan head. The aroma has quite a bit of that berry-like scent I pick up from use of unmalted grains; then there is some distinct baking chocolate, mild coffee, and a few nutty tones. The flavor is kind of sharp at first, carbonic and roasty acidity. Then comes light bitter chocolate and caramel, then quite a bit of grassy and woody hop bitterness. The chocolate is only really dominant in the finish and aftertaste, and it’s still mild. This has potential, but it just isn’t quite there for me. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Bottle. Black body, moderate creamy chocolate milk coloured head. Muted roast and cocoa in the aroma. Dry cocoa throughout the flavour, moderate roast. Light lactic undertones. Average palate is a tad thin for a stout. Just didn’t come together for me, I was expecting much more depth and richness. 6+/4/6+/3/13-14 JasonG (701), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 28, 2007 22oz bottle - Opaque black color with large tan head. Aroma is creamy, faintly roasty, bit of powdered chocolate mix. Flavor is somewhat roasty, bit of vanilla, slightly chocolately, with a moderate, slightly metallic bitterness in the finish. Fairly average overall. Tessic (481), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2007 This stout poured the usual black colour with a nice creamy brown head. To the nose I could smell cocoa, vineger, burnt malts and oats. First taste was smooth. Although for a "triple Chocolate stout" there isn’t much chocolate flavour. Flavours of burnt malt at first with a little cocoa and a slight hop at the end. The palate is burnt like a stout should be with a little hop finish. Very good but need alot more chocolate!
