Bottle@Chris_o’s. Quite nice, lots of flavpiour. Good amount of chcolate coming through. Smooth and sweet, with some light acidity and bitterness in the finish (still remaining smooth). Quite full bodied, and definitely chocolatey.

Sampled at From The Vine beer tasting Oct 19th, 2007: Pours jet black with a medium thick tan head that does not have a lot of legs. Spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet milk chocolate and roasted malt, along with touches of coffee. Medium-bodied and creamy smooth with dark chocolate/mocha flavor with a little touch fo hops. The finish is chocolatety with a relatively short finish. Overall this beer really leans toward the chocolate side as the name implies, unfortunately to its detriment. Were this beer a little more rounded it would be a lot better.

Sampled at the Newtown Brewfest 07 with Stegosaurus. Appearence led me to believe this would be great. Nice black pour looked thick. Strong coffee/chocolate aroma and the taste was very stong with it as well. Not blended the wayy I would have liked it.

22oz bottle. Aroma: Light roasted malt with notes of chocolate milk, dusty grains, and light alcohol. Appearance: Dark brown in color with small walnut highlights. Medium tan head was full and frothy with fair retention. Not much lacing. Flavor: Roasted malt with notes of cigarette smoke, and cocoa. Some light sourness halfway in. Palate: Medium bodied and watery. Moderate carbonation. Overall: Not so good. Light aroma leads to a flat mess of a flavor with a thin palate.

Pours with a very nice dark cola color. Not really much of a head. A malt chocolate nose. Coffee, malt and yeast flavors. Quite carbonated. Sticks to the tongue throughout. Decent.

22oz - Aroma of burnt chocolate malts, lacto, molasses and subtle hops. Pours black with a medium head and decent lacing. Flavor is ashy burnt malts, molasses and sour milk. Palate is tart and sticky. Messy and not very smooth. Gets worse as it warms.

Pours dark with a light chocolate colored head. The taste is a really nice blend of chocolate and roasted malt. This is a real nice, light chocolate ale that is nicely balanced and one I will buy again.
