Very good beer. Bought from Siciliano’s Market in Standale. Poured dark with no head. The aroma was quite strong but not as strong as other stouts. Lots of chocolate overtones. Very tasty with an excellent finish. Top notch Arcadia.

Sweet caramel aroma with a non cloudy dark appearance. The flavors are complex - sweet, boozy, and a little smoky at the end.

Out of a 22 oz bottle...Pours a big, thick light brown head that is so creamy it looks like pudding. So dark brown that it is practically black. The smell is bitter chocolate oils. The alcohol is apparent in the aroma. Mocha bitterness and some sweetness. Some Kahlua-like oily chocolate, but without any hint of licorice. Bready and nutty. Bitter burnt mocha malt. Really dark. Leaves a really nice, nutty hazelnut aftertaste. Combination of burnt and nutty flavors. Chocolate and breakfast blend coffee. Wonderfully dry and bitter. The feel is dry but oily and slick. Thick and tremendous. It’s a heavy and really outstanding chocolate stout. Sweet, dry, bitter, nutty and everything in between. Excellent.

Really fantastic drink. More beer like than Choklat and heavier than Young’s DCS. Somewhere in a happy medium between the two in chocolate profile. Very tasty, aroma is tops. Really enjoyed this beer.

Draft. This stout is intense. Pours a deep midnight black. The sweet maltiness is huge. There is no denying that this is a chocolate stout. It’s so insane, I don’t know how to best sum it up in words. I think this beer deserves further research. {insert evil laughter}

A nice cocoa aroma on this jet black beer. The body is the same but with a roasted characteristic to it. A big gulp revealed the molasses in one of the best stouts I’ve tried in a while.

12oz bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester, Maine. Pours an opaque black body with a thin film of tan head. Smells nutty, somewhat chocolatey, maybe some banana? Tastes like chocolate for sure, sweet, some caramel malt, somewhat nutty, some vineous/raisin qualities. Chocolate dominates though. Super-smooth medium to full in body with ample carbonation. No alcohol apparent anywhere. A super-tasty, well-crafted American stout, one I have difficulty finding much wrong with. Very good. Definitely one I’ll be snagging again should I see it again.

Deep brown-burgundy body with a lasting tan head. Very nice chocolate-caramel, molasses and black currant aromas. Sweet and decadent, but has a level balance of acid, alcohol, roast, and hop bitterness. Has some savory mushroom qualities as well. This owes homage to Bells Special Double Cream Stout, but is very distinct too. Complex sweet stouts are a weakness of mine. I could eat this one for breakfast.
