Aroma, bright floral notes, with some citrus and pine to round out. Flavor, lightly sweet pale malts, lots of floral hops, some juicy citrus notes, very floral on the finish, a mellow balanced bitterness on the end. Medium bodied, very soft carbonation. Quite tasty. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. Nose is lightly floral mixed in with pine. Pours a orangey gold with a slight but persistant head. This one was very close to being really nicely balanced. Slightly bitter from the hopping, the malts hang in there and hold there own only to tire and give way to the hoppiness. I enjoyed this one and would have it again. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a wonderful honey color with an eggshell colored head that disappears quickly and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is huge with citrus, flowers, pine, and just a hint of malt. Taste is very, very nice... a real kick in the taste buds with the flavor of hops. Just a little bit of the malt hitting you as you fist take a sip but mostly hops, hops and more hops. My favorite imperial to date... definitely one that I will be having again and most assuredly recommending to others JohnnyJ (1353), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Pours a darker orange with slightly off-white head. Very nice hops, citrus, orange, candy sugar, and tropical fruits, hints of pine and caramel. A well made IIPA. dukefan (173), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Had at the brewery, January 2008. I struggle with the 2x IPAs from Arcadia - they just don’t seem to work as well with English Hops as the West Coast Hops. Honestly, I am far happier with their regular IPA - their style would play well to interesting stouts. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours orange/amber with a medium white head. Good hop aroma, lots of citrus and tropical fruits, hint of pine, some flowery perfume. Taste is more of the same with a little caramel malt, acidic, good bitterness and carbonation. Good stuff, I would get this again. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Pour was orange, an alright head and some lacing. The flavor and aroma had an off floral, perfumeyness that overrode all the grapefruity goodness. A slightly acidic finish over a fine grapefruit hop bite. My friend described it as old-lady perfume, and that about fits the bill. Not enjoyable, really. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
