Theis (3617), Denmark Nov 19, 2008 Draught at GABF 2008. Cloudy amber - white head. Milkes, grassy, wood, malty sweetness, caramel, citrus, light piney, boring. JCastner (102), New York, USA Oct 13, 2008 Pours a deep copper with a faint white head. Aroma, well, there isn’t much aroma to speak of, just a bit of sweet Maris Otter and some Fuggles. Heavy mouth-feel with a taste of caramel and a slightly bitter finish. A very uncomplicated DIPA, disappointed for sure. Maybe I’ll try and review again in the future. alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA Oct 12, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Hopmouth pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is big sticky sweet caramel malt, oranges, other citrus hoppiness. The flavor has a nice moderate sweetness, biscuity malt, orange citrus, with a general bitterness that lingers. There is a nice balance between the malt and the hops. On the thicker side of medium bodied. This is a decent although non spectacular DIPA. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bomber courtesy of eaglefan538. Floral aroma on the nose. Copper body with creamy white head. Good citrus flavor, sugary sweetener and not as dry as most IIPA’s can be. Smooth on the palate good brew. Thanks Brian ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 5, 2008 Updated: Apr 4, 2009Hazy copper pour with a frothy white head. Crystal malts on the nose. Medium bodied with sweet malts and spuce up front. Grapefruity/ piney finish, slightly resinous ratman197 (3137), Arvada, Colorado, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bomber poured a lightly hazy copper with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, tropical fruit and some herbal notes with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.
Too sweet for a DIPA in my never to be humble opinion! Gurst (338), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Oct 2, 2008 Big hop flavor. Grapefruit, orange, lemon, tree sap, and a little bit of pine. It’s got it all. Thick body, almost sticky, but not quite. Surprisingly drinkable for the wallop it packs. oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Sep 29, 2008 Draught@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy amber colour, big beige creamy head. Aroma is hops, mild spices, some rather earthy and also mildly alcoholic notes. Flavour is hops, grass, mild wood and very bittery dry. Wellbalanced and nice IIPA.
