Sep 29, 2008 12oz - Nice citrus hop aroma with some melon and a caramel finish. Pours transparent copper with a bg head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma but is lacking any hop bite. Palate is sticky and tart. A tasty well balanced IIPA.

Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of straight up rich caramel malt with more and more grapefruit notes wending their way in. Flavor again highlights the rich, sweet malt at first with the same grapefruit and increasing bitterness building at the finish and throughout the glass. Rich mouthfeel. Nice, well-balanced DIPA, just don’t expect a hop bomb.

Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange/brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and caramel malts. Flavor of caramel malt initially and a nice citrusy and grapefruity hop bite. Pretty good beer!

Sep 23, 2008 This strong brew poured a deep, dark copper with a little thick head and stuck around awhile. It was heavily-bodied and smelled strongly of floral hops. The flavor was indeed a "hop-mouth" and was very strong. It’s got a crisp, bitter finish which is strong but not too harsh. Only it’s heavy keeps this one from being very drinkable. Definitly milk this one!

Sep 22, 2008 This light amber beer poured with a decent beige head and a hoppy aroma. There is a creamy caramel malt flavor and the hopping was beautifully done, resulting in a balanced tasty brew.

Sep 21, 2008 22 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass has a caramel brown color and a light tan one finger foamy head. aroma has caramel malt, resinous pine hops, some bitterness, a touch of citrus, and light alcohol. mouth feel is medium with little carbonation. hops lead the flavor with pine, citrus, and bitterness. hefty malted base stands up well with caramel and sweetness peeking in. finish is squarely bitter and lingers for a minute. very good but not quite there.

Sep 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours hyazy copper with white head. Aroma is hoppy with citrus and pine and some caramel malt notes. Flavor is piney hops, citrus and caramel malts. Finishes bitter and mouthfeel is medium. Does not have huge amount of hops you expect from a double but this bottle has some age on it. Still a solid brew and I am glad I tried it.
