Aroma is hoppy with citrus and pine and some caramel malt notes. Flavor is piney hops, citrus and caramel malts. Finishes bitter and mouthfeel is medium. Does not have huge amount of hops you expect from a double but this bottle has some age on it. Still a solid brew and I am glad I tried it. KimJohansen (6916), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 17, 2008 Growler filled at Village Beverage in Wading River. I will begin by saying this was without question the crappiest growler fill I have ever received. The growler was filled to the base of the neck of the bottle. Unfortunately, I did not notice until I got home, otherwise I would have said something at the store. Needless to say, I will mention it the next time I visit. As for the beer, thankfully, there was no noticeable oxidation, although there was definitely some loss of carbonation. Poured a mostly clear golden amber with a thin yellow/white head despite pouring down the center of the glass. The head lasted through the first two sips and left scant lace. Pleasant aroma of grassy hops and lots of pine. The flavor begins with very weak malt, which is quickly washed over by strong pine and grapefruit. These flavors, however, lack depth or any resinous quality, and taste like hops juice. Finish is bitter, although the bitterness is short lived. Very one dimensional beer. hirigalzkar (563), Stockholm, Sweden

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2008 A big lasting brown foam covering an amber-reddish beer. THe is as it should big with american hops. This is also present in the taste toghether with some caramell. The bitterness is balanced for a double IPA. THere is residual sugars but they just balance the bitterness. MiP (9055), Sønderborg, Denmark

The flavour is quite sweet with a lot of grassy aroma hops. Has a little citric hop bite. Mild carbonation, quite appropriate. AndyReynolds (281), Wilder, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2008 pored a hazzy cooper with a very thin white head that dissapated quickly. The aroma is grassy hops with hints of citrus. The taste was sweet, too sweet for a double IPA, but the finish had a nice bitter bite and left the hoppy taste lingering in the back of my throat. A nice beer, refreshing beer.
