Commercial Description:
The first in our Brew Crew Big Beer Series, Arcadia Hopmouth Double IPA should be finding its way to a store near you. Huge Maris Otter malt and a generous amount of fresh hops combine to make this extremely balanced ale remarkable.

Aroma is very hoppy and alcoholic but flavor starts on a rather vanilla coppery note with some grapefruit, vanilla and trees in the mix. Back to the aroma, I put vodka in my ferment lock and this is how some of my beers smell through the vodka. Nice dry finish though but body could have more texture. NEPA case split beer from Kevin.

Deep red-orange, cloudy, with a huge off-white head. Light, sweet nose, with touches of vanilla and walnuts. Flavor is fairly sweet, a bit astringent, quite bitter, with some touches of tobacco, almonds and walnuts.

love it!! The fresh hops are now joke in this beer, I compare drinking this beer to biting into a flower. It’s a very floral hopped beer, love it!! Great Success!!

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of bitter and floral hoppy notes with a big malt backbone. Taste is also dominated by some floral and hoppy notes with a huge light caramel malt backbone. Medium body with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. While this beer is very good overall I would have expected more hops for the style.

Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a large, pitted, beige head that leaves behind wispy/patchy lace. The nose is a "dusty", solid grapefruit with a light caramel malt note in support. Also present are lighter supporting notes of spruce and mango. Medium-bodied and soft with a moderate hit of hop bitterness at the woody-dry finish. The flavor is of sweet caramel malt followed by grapefruity citrus and moderately resinous hop notes. The finish is fairly bitter, with a lingering "tongue-squeeze" coming after the swallow. The bittering hops on this brew seem to supersede those used for flavor and aroma. It’s a solid and fairly tasty brew; it’s just not a top tier IIPA.

Hazy dark orange with a large fine foam head. Aroma of grassey hops and some sweet malts. Full in the mouth but not thick and syrupy. Fairly malty up front, kind of biscuty/doughy/bready. Flavour finishes out with a light citrus hop note, kind of grapefruity but still packs some bitterness, though not much.

Like munching fresh-baked bread through a lacing of heather, with grassy hops coming in strongly at the end.

Draft @ the brewpub. Copper with a light tan head. Good hoppy aroma is citrus and floral. Medium body and smooth. Nice mesh of bready malts and those same citrus and floral hops. Well defined hop flavors here without being overly bitter. A good one.
