Bottle, 22oz. An orange-golden, hazy beer with a beige head. Hoppy nose with citrus, pine and resin, as well as some note of fluor. Not much room for malt here. Resiny and quite fruity flavor with some beefstocky maltyness, sure on the bitter side. Full body, and a long, piney finish. Pleasant, but doesn’t stand out. (080301)

Honey colored pour with a good off-white head. Grassy aroma. I wonder whether this ale should be re-named, as it has a wheaty flavor. I liked this, but it’s far from the best IIPA I’ved sampled. Needs a little hop punch.

On tap pours a dark amber color with a off white head. Smell like a typical IIPA. Has a light to medium mouthfeel. Taste has a good amount of hop flavor like pine to it, but there is way too much malt flavor for this style. Otherwise, good brew.

Drank at the Brewery, Winter 2007. Like the other "Doubles" Arcadia makes, it just does not work with the English hops. Disappointing.

Nice nose. Deep red color. Not very hoppy in my opinion for a double IPA. Very smooth ale and nice balanced taste. Alcohol is well hidden.

On tap at Map Room, Chicago. Kind of piney-- not as sweet hop tasting as 3F Dreadnaught or Bell’s Hopslam. Pretty good, but have had better.
