Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Dec 25, 2007 Pours out a deep orange color with fne particles floating about. Aroma is of resinous pine, citrus hops and light earthy malt. Taste is very similar with the alcohol well hidden. Not as crisp or bright as Bells Hopslam. Not bad, but not something I would buy again. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 14, 2007 From bottle, no 25 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange and with a lacing white head. Hoppy aroma, slight pine and peach fruity. Perfumed flavour of hops, soapy and slight spiced. Ends with a solid bitterness lingering inbetween the mild caramel malt sweetness. Nice. phiconners (122), Massachusetts, USA Dec 7, 2007 22oz bottle from Julio’s. Pours a slightly cloudy amber, small head. Hoppy, but something about the taste was a little off for me. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 7, 2007 wow, this one is nice. very well balanced, not over the top at all. Smooth as silk with a nice dark copper body. Poured with a thin head that dissappeared quickly.
I’m going to enjoy this one. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 5, 2007 #25 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Average creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good film like display of lacework. Hazy amber color. Spice, grain, fruit, citrus, yeast and light sour notes. Also some herbal and floral feel. Over the palate the hoppy notes becomes quit dominant with notes of pine, grapefruit and citrus. Light feel of apricot. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Dry and bitter floral finish. Illini08 (528), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Dec 4, 2007 22 oz. bottle. Rating from memory here. Amber color with a big white head. Aroma was lots of citrus hops, but also a noticeable amount of bready malt. Somewhat resinous, grapefruit flavor with some caramel malt as well. Good, but it was a bit toned down for an IIPA. Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 4, 2007 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aorm ais sweet mlaty with strong notes of hops giving it notes of grapefruit and peaches, but the alcohol can also be senced. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of straw, grass, spices, and grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 4, 2007 Bottle. A hazy orange/amber beer with a huge tan head. The aroma and taste is grassy of pine, peach, grape, hoppy. Medium to full body with a dry finish.
