Must be an old sample, because the best buy on the side label ended in 2006. Poured out a hazy orange color, with a sticky tan head. Aromas are of hops mostly, with weak malts in the background. Certainly not fresh by any stretch of the imagination. Pedestrian flavors overall, if the ABV wasn’t high, it’d have been tossed by now by any other brewer. Sammy (3976), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Drinkable DIPA, hop leaf in there, even astringent and overcarbonated. But it gets down. It’s got a generous head, and some pine smell. The malts are there but the IBU taste fairly high. I would drink it again. Petrucci914 (578), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Pours an orangish gold color with a small amount of lacing. Aroma is pine, and citrus fruits like pineapple. Taste is bitter and piney, a bit chewy, and finishes with a nutty malt taste. Decent. Juelze (895), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Pours out a deep orange color with fne particles floating about. Aroma is of resinous pine, citrus hops and light earthy malt. Taste is very similar with the alcohol well hidden. Not as crisp or bright as Bells Hopslam. Not bad, but not something I would buy again. yespr (12018), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Hoppy aroma, slight pine and peach fruity. Perfumed flavour of hops, soapy and slight spiced. Ends with a solid bitterness lingering inbetween the mild caramel malt sweetness. Nice. phiconners (123), Massachusetts, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2007 #25 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Average creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good film like display of lacework. Hazy amber color. Spice, grain, fruit, citrus, yeast and light sour notes. Also some herbal and floral feel. Over the palate the hoppy notes becomes quit dominant with notes of pine, grapefruit and citrus. Light feel of apricot. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Dry and bitter floral finish.
